Are online GLP-1 sellers legit? What 70 sellers' public records show

2026-11-06 · 6 min read · GLPcompare Editorial

Short answer: most online GLP-1 sellers are real, operating businesses, but a high Trustpilot score tells you little on its own. We read the public record of 89 online GLP-1 sellers on November 6, 2026. The 13 sellers the BBB rates F average 4.3 out of 5 on Trustpilot, higher than the 4.2 average of the 13 sellers it rates in the A range. The FDA has sent warning letters to 19 of the 89. Only 4 hold up on all three records: Noom, Sesame, AgelessRx and SingleCare.

These records describe how a business deals with customers and what regulators have told it. They do not measure medical quality or results, and GLPcompare does not rate sellers itself. Every seller's record is on one page, each with its source.

What we read

For each seller we read three public records and one claim:

  • Trustpilot: its TrustScore and number of reviews, and whether Trustpilot labels the profile a paid subscription.
  • The BBB: its letter rating, whether the business is accredited, its complaints over the last 3 years, and any notice on the profile. We count a BBB profile only when it links the seller's own site or names the seller exactly.
  • The FDA: warning letters that name the seller, from the FDA's own list.
  • LegitScript: whether the seller's homepage links a LegitScript certification check. That link is the seller's own claim until you open it, so we link the check itself on each seller's page.

We found a Trustpilot profile for 72 of the 89 and a BBB profile for 49. A missing record is not a clean one.

Trustpilot and the BBB do not agree

They measure different things. The BBB calls its rating its opinion of how a business is likely to interact with its customers, based on complaint history, transparency and available public data. A big seller collects complaints simply by being big, which is why Ro and Noom carry hundreds and still rate A+. What moves a rating is often how complaints get answered. Trustpilot collects customer reviews, which it says it screens but does not fact-check, and many sellers invite their own customers to write them. Trustpilot itself labels 45 of the 62 profiles here as paid subscriptions.

So read a high Trustpilot score beside the BBB's complaints. Where they pull apart, the complaints usually say what goes wrong: the BBB's notice on Wellmedr reports "a pattern of consumer complaint activity concerning delivery issues, billing issues and guarantee issues." On Henry Meds it says "Complaints primarily involve billing, cancellation, and fulfillment issues."

The FDA's warning letters

The FDA has sent warning letters to 19 of the 89 sellers. Most object to what a website claimed about compounded drugs, such as "Same active ingredient as Ozempic and Wegovy". A warning letter is the FDA's notice of what it considers a violation; it is not a finding by a court. These are the sellers on this list. Every FDA warning letter naming a GLP-1 is on its own page, read daily from the FDA's list.

A good reputation does not rule a letter out: 15 of the 19 score 4.0 or more on Trustpilot, and 13 of the 19 link a LegitScript check on their homepage. Each letter is linked from the ratings page, so you can read what the FDA objected to.

Separately, the BBB reports that on July 29, 2026 the Federal Trade Commission, California and Utah sued Hims & Hers Health, Inc. The BBB's notice says "The allegations have not been proven, and the case has not yet been resolved."

Same company, different names

Public records sometimes show that two names are one business. The BBB lists SnagRx, RodeoMeds and Embody as alternate names of Modern Metabolic Medicine, Inc., rated C+ with 315 complaints in the last 3 years. SnagRx and Embody are listed separately on our price pages because each publishes its own prices.

Who holds up on all three

We looked for sellers with at least 1,000 Trustpilot reviews averaging 4.0 or more, a BBB rating of A- or better, and no FDA warning letter we could find. 4 qualify:

SellerTrustpilotBBB
Noom4.5 (67,221 reviews)A+, accredited
Sesame4.6 (4,611 reviews)A+, accredited
AgelessRx4.4 (2,614 reviews)A+
SingleCare4.4 (2,417 reviews)A+, accredited

Passing this is not a recommendation. It leaves out smaller sellers simply for having fewer reviews, and it says nothing about which medication or dose is right for you. For the lowest prices among sellers with a smaller bar of 100 reviews, see the price pages for compounded tirzepatide and compounded semaglutide.

What to check before you pay any seller

  • How to cancel, and what you pay after the first order. Billing and cancellation run through the BBB's notices. Many low advertised prices are first-month or sale prices.
  • FDA-approved or compounded. Compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved: the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed. Our guide covers the rules. FDA-approved products are sold directly by NovoCare and LillyDirect.
  • What the price buys. The dose, the supply length and any membership fee. Every self-pay price is on one page, converted to 30 days where the seller states its supply.

How we keep this current

We read these records on November 6, 2026 and re-read them monthly; the ratings page always shows the newest read. Each seller's own page links the source, so you can see today's figure. Some sellers listed here pay GLPcompare a referral fee if a reader buys through a link on this site. That plays no part in these records or in who qualifies above, and how we compare explains the rest.
