Every GLP-1 starts low and goes up in steps to reduce stomach side effects. Below, how each brand starts and where it tops out, quoted from its own FDA label. Labels are read from DailyMed every day; the newest revision here is Aug 28, 2026.
The soonest each label's schedule allows. A clinician can go slower, and the Wegovy and Saxenda labels say to consider delaying a step that is not tolerated.

The doses here are milligrams from FDA-approved labels. A compounded vial's units depend on that vial's own strength, so one chart in units cannot fit every vial, and the same number of units can be a different dose from another pharmacy. FDA says it has received reports of adverse events, some requiring hospitalization, that may be related to patients measuring incorrect doses and health care professionals miscalculating them. Ask the prescriber or pharmacy to show you the amount for your vial, and read the vial's own label each time you get a new one.
