How this comparison works

GLPcompare compares by the underlying data (price, shortage status, evidence), and a partner never changes a price or a fact. Partner status and commission rates contribute to offer and provider value scores and can affect their order. Every partner is labeled. A value score is not a medical recommendation or a guarantee of the lowest price. We show a figure only when we have a real source for it; when we do not, we show an honest gap, never an invented number.

Questions

Common questions

What is the cheapest FDA-approved GLP-1 without insurance?

It depends on the product and dose. Among the self-pay offers we track, FDA-approved GLP-1s start at about $149 per 30 days at a starting dose; at the dose used in its main trial, orforglipron is the lowest at about $299 per 30 days. Compounded versions can cost less but are not FDA-approved. The board above orders every medication by current, sourced price.

Where does the data come from?

Regulatory and study data come from sources including the FDA, DailyMed, ClinicalTrials.gov, and CMS. Cash prices come from manufacturers and providers; third-party price reports are labeled. Published trial results link to their original studies. Each data type has its own source and update schedule.

Is compounded semaglutide the same as Wegovy?

No. Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are prepared by compounding pharmacies and are not FDA-approved products; they are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness, or quality. We label the difference clearly and never present a compounded or cash price as an FDA-approved list price.

Data is aggregated from public sources and can be incomplete or out of date. Always confirm with a licensed clinician and the current FDA label.

Some outbound links on GLPcompare are referral links. If you sign up or buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It never changes the price you pay or the underlying data. Partner status and commission rates contribute to offer and provider value scores and can change their order. Every partner is labeled. Value scores are not medical recommendations; a higher-ranked offer is not necessarily the lowest price or the right product for you.

Read prices in context. US self-pay in USD, not an insurance quote. Trial-dose prices match the dose named beside the trial result. Starting prices may be for a different brand or formulation. Cost order uses current, recently checked quotes with documented supply periods, converted to 30 days. Other prices are unranked references. Dose changes, introductory terms and added fees affect what you pay. See pricing terms.

Separate trials, not a clinical ranking. Results differ in population, duration, dose, and analysis. A larger percentage does not establish a better treatment for you. FDA shortage reporting does not confirm stock at your pharmacy. How to interpret the data.

Every cash quote was checked on or after Sep 26, 2026. 6 approved ingredients and 9 investigational ingredients tracked. Compounded offers are labeled separately in Offers.
