How to tell a good seller from a bad one
It needs a prescription
A seller offering tirzepatide with no prescription and no clinician is not a legal route. The FDA's advice: "Patients should obtain a prescription from their doctor and fill the prescription at a state-licensed pharmacy."
The FDA's page"For research purposes" is a warning sign
FDA has warned companies that have illegally sold unapproved drugs containing semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide, survodutide or mazdutide that are falsely labeled “for research purposes” or “not for human consumption.”
The FDA's pageLook up the pharmacy and the seller
The FDA says to "only purchase from state-licensed pharmacies." Its BeSafeRx page lets you look up a state-licensed online pharmacy. Our seller pages show each seller's Trustpilot score, BBB rating, FDA warning letters and LegitScript link.
Ratings of every sellerRead the price twice
Check the price after the first month, the price at the dose you will end up on, whether a membership is added, and how long the plan commits you. Prices change, so confirm on the seller's page before you pay.
The cheapest tirzepatide
GLPcompare links out only to sellers with a referral program: if you sign up or buy through one of those links, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. For other sellers we show the price and the seller's address, and suggest sellers we can link to. It never changes the price you pay or the underlying data. Partner status and commission rates contribute to offer and provider value scores and can change their order. Every partner is labeled. Value scores are not medical recommendations; a higher-ranked offer is not necessarily the lowest price or the right product for you. Within each route the order is price alone, whoever pays.

Where can I buy tirzepatide online?
Tirzepatide is a prescription medicine, so every legal way to buy it online starts with a prescription. There are 4 routes: the maker's own program (LillyDirect (Eli Lilly), $299/28 days), a pharmacy (Amazon Pharmacy, $299/28 days), an online clinic that prescribes the brand (WeightWatchers, $324 first month), and an online clinic that prescribes a compounded version, which is not FDA-approved (Affinity Direct, $147.90/28 days). Can I buy tirzepatide without a prescription?
No legal US seller offers it without one. FDA has warned companies that have illegally sold unapproved drugs containing semaglutide, tirzepatide, retatrutide, survodutide or mazdutide that are falsely labeled “for research purposes” or “not for human consumption.” An online clinic can review your history and prescribe it if it is right for you.
Is it legal to buy compounded tirzepatide online?
Sellers offer it by prescription, filled by a compounding pharmacy. Compounded drugs are not FDA-approved: the FDA does not review them for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed. The FDA declared the tirzepatide (December 2024) and semaglutide (February 2025) shortages resolved, ending the exemption that let pharmacies mass-produce compounded copies, and the 503A/503B enforcement-discretion grace periods ended in 2025. The FDA is now actively enforcing (warning letters and takedowns, including a September 2026 warning letter to Empower Pharmacy, a large compounder, over products it called essentially copies of approved semaglutide and tirzepatide), and in 2026 proposed permanently excluding semaglutide, tirzepatide, and liraglutide from the 503B bulks list (the public comment period, extended 30 days, closed July 30, 2026; a final decision is pending). Liraglutide is different: it is still on the FDA drug shortage list (brand Victoza and Saxenda in limited supply, generics available, as of October 2026). Compounded GLP-1s are not FDA-approved and are now generally limited to narrow, patient-specific 503A prescriptions, so broad low-cost availability has largely wound down. They also carry safety risks the branded products do not: FDA adverse-event reports, at least one sterility recall (ProRx, October 2025), and counterfeit product found in the US supply chain, so a low price is not a low-risk signal. Prices and availability below may lag these changes; confirm current terms with the provider. A clinician can say whether it is right for you.
What is the safest place to buy tirzepatide online?
GLPcompare reports prices and public records, not medical quality. FDA-approved Mounjaro and Zepbound from the maker's own program is the most direct route. For any other seller, check that it uses a state-licensed pharmacy and read its public record. FDA advice: "Patients should obtain a prescription from their doctor and fill the prescription at a state-licensed pharmacy."
